Attend your first appointment where we will begin with an evaluation to understand your child's unique skills and challenges.

Following the evaluation, we will review the results. As a team, we will develop a treatment plan and determine the location and frequency of therapy.

Once therapy begins, we welcome families to be an active part of our sessions. Together we will ensure your child is achieving their goals!
GETTING THERAPY STARTED IS EASY!
Empowered Therapy provides speech, language, feeding, and occupational therapy services to clients of all ages. We also offer parent/caregiver coaching and training. Services are available in our office located in Northwest Arkansas or online via teletherapy to clients located anywhere in Arkansas.

MEET
Taryn Taylor, M.S., CCC-SLP
Owner, Speech Language Pathologist
Taryn Taylor holds both a B.S. and M.S. in Speech Pathology from Northeastern State University. With a rich background in working with diverse pediatric clients, Taryn has developed a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent individuals, addressing feeding concerns and treating orofacial myofunctional disorders. Taryn is passionate about creating inclusive, neurodiversity-affirming spaces and is committed to trauma-informed care. In her free time, Taryn loves spending time with friends and her family—her husband and son. She enjoys getting outdoors, whether that’s hiking, exploring new places, or just soaking up nature. She also finds joy in reading and traveling, always eager to experience and learn about new cultures and environments.

Monica Sexton, M.S. OTR/L
Occupational Therapist
Monica holds a B.S. in Public Health from The University of Arkansas and a Master’s of Occupational Therapy from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She brings with her over 3 years of pediatric OT experience working with a wide variety of populations as well as over a decade of community inclusion work with children and adults with disabilities. She has a passion for strengths based, neurodiversity-affirming care as well as equal environmental access for all ability levels. In her free time, you’ll likely find Monica enjoying live music or hitting one of the many local trails with her 3-legged Labrador retriever, Lt. Dan.
